Straight answers.
Prices, timelines, payment plans, who owns what, and what happens after launch. If your question isn't here, it's a good one for the call.
How much does a website cost?
Business sites are $5,000 (Local, up to 6 pages), $7,500 (Growth, up to 15) or $11,000 (Authority, up to 30). Online stores are $7,500 (Launch), $12,500 (Scale) or from $15,000 for a replatform, fixed after a free audit. Every number is on the pricing page.
Is there a payment plan?
Yes. The default is 40/30/30: deposit, design approval, launch. Or the Launch Plan at 0% interest: 25% down, then 5 monthly payments. A $5,000 site is $1,250 down, then $750/mo. On the Launch Plan the domain and hosting stay in Instinct's account until it's paid off, then transfer to you.
Why is Replatform "from" a price?
Moving an existing store depends on what is in it: products, customers, subscriptions, reviews and redirects. We audit it for free first, then give you one fixed price, from $15,000.
Can a package change after we start?
Only if you want it to. Extra pages are $300 each, extra products $400 per 25, copywriting $250 per page. Every change is priced in writing before it happens.
Are there any monthly fees after launch?
Only the ones you choose. Care plans start at $149/mo and include hosting. Stores also pay their platform (Shopify, for example) directly, on your own account.
How long does it take?
3 weeks for a Local site, 4–5 weeks for Growth, 6–8 weeks for Authority. Stores take 4 weeks (Launch), 6–8 weeks (Scale) or 8–12 weeks (Replatform). Rush is one week faster for +15%.
What happens on the 20-minute call?
You show us your current site or your idea. We tell you which package fits, what it costs and when we can start.
What counts as a revision round?
One round is one consolidated list of changes from you, and one updated version from us. Local, Growth, Launch and Scale include 2 rounds. Authority and Replatform include 3.
What do you need from us?
Logins for your domain and Google Business Profile, your logo, and photos if you have them. On Local sites you supply the words and we edit them. On Growth and Authority we write them.
Can you go faster?
Yes. Rush is one week faster for +15%, if the calendar allows. We say on the call whether it does.
Who owns the site?
You do. The domain, site, content and code are in your name. The one exception is the Launch Plan, above.
What happens if we stop working together?
You keep everything: domain, site, content and code are already in your name. On the Launch Plan the domain and hosting transfer to you once it is paid off.
Is a care plan required?
No. Care plans are optional and month to month: Care $149/mo, Grow $399/mo, Local SEO $750/mo.
Are care plans a contract?
No. Care plans are month to month.
What is in a care plan?
Care $149/mo: hosting, updates and 1 hour of edits. Grow $399/mo: Care plus 3 hours of edits or content, Google Business Profile posts and a rank report. Local SEO $750/mo: Grow plus 2 articles a month, citations and links, and a review program.
Which ecommerce platforms do you build on?
Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and others. We recommend one on the call based on your catalog. Launch is $7,500, Scale is $12,500, and moving an existing store to a new platform is from $15,000 after a free audit.
Do you set up email and subscriptions?
Launch includes Klaviyo welcome and abandoned cart emails. Scale adds browse abandonment, post-purchase and winback flows, plus subscription setup and offer design.
Can you help with sales after launch?
Yes. At VetCBD the studio ran growth and marketing as well as the build: monthly revenue from $13.3K to $106.6K in less than a year, with email growing from 0.5% to 24% of store revenue (last 90 days to Oct 31, 2026).
Can you get my business recommended by ChatGPT?
Nobody can guarantee that, and anyone who promises it is guessing. What moves it: pages that answer real questions with real prices, structured data (schema), an llms.txt file, fast clean pages, and the reviews and listings AI answers lean on. Every build includes that groundwork. For Alesca Aesthetics, ChatGPT referral visits rose 325% in four months (GA4, to Oct 27, 2026).
What is AI search optimization?
Building a site so AI answers (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity) can understand it and cite it: pages that answer real questions with real prices, structured data, an llms.txt file and fast, clean HTML. It is included in every build.
Does AI search replace Google?
No. The same groundwork serves both. For Alesca, visitors from ChatGPT click "book" at about 18 per 100 visits, the same rate as visitors from Google search (GA4, 120 days to Oct 27, 2026).
Where do you work?
Instinct is based in York, PA and works with owners across York, Lancaster, Lititz and Harrisburg.
What does the free site check look at?

Do you do local SEO?
Every business site includes a local SEO foundation: Google Business Profile setup, schema and starter citations. The Local SEO care plan ($750/mo) keeps it going with articles, citations, links and a review program.
